Jackson Anthony is a famous Sri Lankan film actor. He was born on February 18, 1949 and his birthplace is Ragama, Sri Lanka. His first name is “Jackson” and his last name is “Anthony”.. He received his primary education from Madhya Maha Vidyalaya, Seeduwa, Galahitiawa and St. Mary's College, Bandarawela.

Anthony is married to his long-time partner Kumari Munasinghe, who is also an actress and singer. They have two sons and a daughter and the family has settled in Kadavata, a suburb of Colombo. Daughter Madhavi Vatsala, the eldest of three siblings, is a television anchor, actress and singer.
Eldest son Akila Dhanuddara is also a television anchor, model and actor. His younger son Sajitha Anutthara is also a television presenter, singer and award-winning actor who has played the role of the hunter's son in Suriya Aran.
He has also directed several blockbuster films in Sri Lanka. His directorial debut, Julietge Bhumikawa, won him the Most Promising Director award at the Critics' Choice Awards.
